Father Dennis WalkerDirector of Vocation Promotion
Fr. Dennis Walker is a native of Syracuse, NY, and a graduate of Bishop Ludden Jr./Sr. High School. He graduated from Le Moyne College with a Bachelor's in Accounting and an MBA. After working as an auditor and technician for his family's fire sprinkler business, he began his seminary studies in 2015 at St. Mary's Seminary & University in Baltimore, MD, where he earned a Bachelor's in Sacred Theology and a Master of Divinity. In 2021, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Syracuse. During his first two assignments, he served in several parishes in North Syracuse, Mattydale, Cortland, Homer, DeRuyter, and Truxton. Fr. Walker currently serves as the pastor of the Church of the Nativity at St. Leo's in Tully, Immaculate Conception in Pompey, St. Joseph's in Lafayette, and St. Patrick's in Otisco. In addition to parish work, he also serves as the priest-chaplain at Bishop Ludden-Grimes Jr./Sr. High School in Syracuse and as the diocesan chaplain for the Boy Scouts of America. Bishop Lucia appointed Fr. Walker as the Director of the Office of Vocation Promotion on January 11, 2026.

Father Brendan FoleyAssociate Director of Vocation PromotionFr. Brendan Foley is a native of Binghamton, NY, and his home parish was St. James in Johnson City. He attended Seton Catholic Central High School and then the University of Scranton, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Following college graduation, Fr. Foley served one year as a FrancisCorps volunteer in Catholic Charities’ Refugee Resettlement program in Syracuse. Fr. Foley studied at St. Mary’s Seminary & University in Baltimore, Maryland, and was ordained in 2021. He served as the Parochial Vicar of Holy Cross Parish in Dewitt and St. Anthony of Padua Church and is currently the pastor at Our Lady of Pompei-St. Peter Parish and St. John the Baptist-Holy Trinity Parish, while also serving as the Director of the Spanish Apostolate at St. Anthony of Padua. Bishop Lucia appointed Fr. Foley as the Associate Director of the Office of Vocation Promotion on January 11, 2026.
