Fr. Dennis Walker is a native of Syracuse, NY and a graduate of Bishop Ludden Jr./Sr. High School. He graduated from Le Moyne College with a Bachelors in Accounting and an MBA. After working as an auditor and as a technician for his family's fire sprinkler business, he began his seminary studies in 2015 at St. Mary's Seminary & University in Baltimore, MD where he attained a Bachelors in Sacred Theology and a Masters of Divinity. In 2021, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Syracuse. During his first two assignments, he served in several parishes in North Syracuse, Mattydale, Cortland, Homer, DeRuyter and Truxton. Fr. Walker currently serves as the pastor of the Church of the Nativity at St. Leo's in Tully, Immaculate Conception in Pompey, St. Joseph's in Lafayette and St. Patrick's in Otisco. In addition to parish work, he also serves as the priest chaplain at Bishop Ludden-Grimes Jr./Sr. High School in Syracuse and as the diocesan chaplain for the Boy Scouts of America. Bishop Lucia appointed Fr. Walker as the Director of the Office of Vocation Promotion on January 11, 2026.
