Ordination

With praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse joyfully announces the Ordination of Cornelius Peter Deep to the Sacred Order of Priesthood through the laying on of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit by his excellency the Most Reverend Douglas J. Lucia, Bishop of Syracuse.

All are welcome to attend on Saturday, May 30th, 10 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Downtown Syracuse. There is convenient parking at the Oncenter lot located at 400-408 Harrison St., Syracuse, NY 13202. The rate is $7.00 per car. 

For those who cannot attend in person, we invite you to join us via live stream on the Diocesan YouTube channel and encourage your continued prayers for Cornelius as he enters the priesthood.

Holy Hour Prayer Vigil for Priesthood Ordinations

Our entire diocesan family is invited to a Holy Hour for Vocations that will be offered for the intention of Rev. Mr. Cornelius P. Deep on Friday, May 29th from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse. Please join the Office of Vocation Promotion on the Vigil of the Rite of Ordination to the Sacred Priesthood. This Holy Hour will include Exposition, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Solemn Vespers, and Benediction. Join our seminarians in prayer as they as "the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest".
