Bishop Moynihan Pro Vita Award

The Office of Family/Respect Life, Diocese of Syracuse is once again offering a scholarship in honor of the late Bishop James Moynihan.  The Pro-Vita Award is available to any high school senior in the seven county diocese.

Bishop Moynihan was a fearless leader in the pro-life movement. He was dedicated to building a Culture of Life, promoting vocations, and strengthening Catholic schools.  Following Bishop Moynihan’s passing in 2017, the Family/Respect Life office created the Pro Vita Award to honor his legacy.  Funds are awarded based on submissions answering the following: Why are you Pro-Life and how will you help build a culture of life?
