The Diocesan Tribunal Office assists the bishop in his pastoral responsibility to resolve petitions for nullity of marriage and other causes according to the provisions of the Code of Canon Law. The Office also provides canonical advice to clergy and the faithful of the diocese.
The Tribunal is the court of the Diocese of Syracuse. It is competent to hear cases related to spiritual matters and violations of ecclesiastical law. The most common cases heard by the Tribunal are petitions for declarations of nullity of a marriage (annulment).
As of September 9, 2015, the Diocesan Tribunal of Syracuse will no longer require payment for petitions of nullity of marriage.

OCIA Q&A Sessions

Have questions about the OCIA process? We’re here to help.
Members of the Tribunal Office and the Office of Liturgy & OCIA invite clergy, OCIA coordinators and team members, and others involved in the OCIA process to join us for a series of virtual OCIA Q&A sessions.
These informal, one-hour Zoom sessions are an opportunity to bring your questions, seek clarification, and receive guidance as you accompany individuals through the OCIA process. Whether you have a specific situation you need help navigating or a general question about the process, you are welcome to join us.

Registration is required for each session you plan to attend. Click on a date below to register and receive the Zoom link for that session. Registration will remain open through the start of each meeting.

Have a Question? Send It in Advance!When registering, we encourage you to submit any questions you would like addressed during the session. Sending your questions ahead of time gives our team an opportunity to prepare and provide the most helpful guidance possible.
Submitting a question in advance is encouraged, but not required. Participants are welcome to ask questions during the Zoom session as well.
