Annine Massaro is an independent consultant and advocate with more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families as they navigate crisis, family conflict, addiction, and trauma. Through her referral-based practice, she provides a grounded and supportive environment where individuals can speak openly about difficult experiences. She helps individuals identify their needs and, when appropriate, connects them with additional treatment and community resources.
Ms. Massaro was also a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of a family-owned engineering firm, where she served for more than two decades. During her tenure, she helped strengthen the company’s financial and operational structure as the business tripled in size. Her legal education has informed her work in consulting, management, and business, including supporting founders as they address personal healing, leadership, and organizational challenges.
Ms. Massaro brings lived experience as a survivor of clergy sexual abuse. Her willingness to speak openly about her experience reflects her commitment to ensuring that survivors feel seen, heard, and supported. She brings to the Diocesan Review Board a perspective shaped by both the lasting effects of trauma and the possibility of healing and moving forward.
Ms. Massaro has also devoted significant time to mentoring young people and supporting individuals and families affected by addiction. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Nazareth College and a Juris Doctor from Widener Law School. She is trained in a range of holistic healing practices and writes poetry and prose that explore healing, truth, forgiveness, and transformation.
