Since 2003, the Diocese of Syracuse has been committed to protecting children, youth, and vulnerable adults through its Safe Environment Program, which provides training on abuse prevention, a Child and Youth Protection Policy, and a Diocesan Code of Conduct.
Safe Environment Week celebrates and thanks all who partner with the Diocese—clergy, religious, employees, volunteers, and community members—to raise awareness, strengthen prevention, and foster safe, supportive environments across our parishes, schools, and agencies.
On behalf of Most Rev. Douglas J. Lucia, the Diocesan Safe Environment Committee, and the Office of Safe Environment, we offer our heartfelt gratitude to all who dedicate themselves to creating safe, faith-filled spaces throughout the Diocese of Syracuse.
