Home Parish: Our Lady of Sorrows, Vestal
I grew up in Binghamton, in a loving Catholic family with three amazing sisters. As a young man, I was an altar server at St. Joseph's Church in Binghamton. My experience in serving Mass provided a valuable opportunity to engage actively and contribute meaningfully during the initial stages of my faith formation. I am a graduate of Binghamton High School, Class of 2009, and Broome Community College, Class of 2012. After college, I worked and lived in North Carolin, then moved back to Binghamton in the Fall of 2021. Though I drifted from my faith during my years away, I eventually found healing and direction through a renewed relationship with Christ. I was hired as the Facilities Manager of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal, NY. Shortly thereafter, I became the weekend sacristan at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Binghamton. In working at the two parishes, I was immersed in parish life and was involved with many ministries such as the Knights of Columbus, Men of St. Joseph's, bible studies, youth ministry, and funerals. I was continually asking myself how I could better serve the Lord, and through our diocesan discernment retreat, spiritual direction, and personal prayer, I felt called to the priesthood. I’m currently in my first year of formation, known as the Propaedeutic Year, at the Stanley Rother House of Formation at Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. Today, I live with deep gratitude for the Lord’s mercy, staying close to the sacraments, walking with others on their journey of faith, and striving each day to witness to the grace God has worked in my life.
Our Lady of love, of sorrow, and of mercy, pray for us.
