Reverend Joseph U. Ahukanna, OP, currently serving with the Dominican Friars, Province of St. Joseph the Worker in Nigeria and Ghana.  Assigned as Parochial Vicar to St. Anthony of Padua Church, St. Joseph Church, and St. Ambrose Church in Endicott, NY.; effective July 1, 2025.

Reverend Peter T. Amaya-Akpala, OP, currently serving with the Dominican Friars, Province of St. Joseph the Worker in Nigeria and Ghana.  Assigned as Parochial Vicar to St. Mary’s Church, Kirkwood, NY; St. Joseph Church, Deposit, NY; Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Windsor, NY; and St. Joseph Church, Port Crane, NY; effective July 1, 2025.  Barbara Kane will remain as the Parish Life Director.

Reverend Paschal M. I. Anionye, previously Parochial Vicar of St. Margaret Church, Mattydale, NY and part-time hospital chaplain at Crouse Hospital.  Appointed full-time hospital chaplain at Crouse Hospital and weekend sacramental provider as needed.  Effective July 1, 2025.

Foley, previously Administrator of Our Lady of Pompei – St. Peter Parish, Syracuse, NY; St. John the Baptist-Holy Trinity Parish, Syracuse, NY, and responsibilities of the Spanish Apostolate at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Syracuse, NY.  Appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Pompei-St. Peter Parish, Syracuse, NY; St. John the Baptist-Holy Trinity Parish, Syracuse, NY.; and responsibilities of the Spanish Apostolate at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Syracuse, NY.; effective July 1, 2025.

Reverend Amedeo G. Guida, previously sacramental provider at St. Joseph’s – St. Patrick’s, Utica, NY.  Appointed sacramental provider at St. Daniel Church, Syracuse, NY, effective July 1, 2025.  Reverend John J. Kurgan, Vicar General, will serve as the Canonical Pastor.

Reverend John D. Manno, currently Pastor of Holy Family Church, Fairmount, NY and Vicar for Clergy, will become Pastor of St. Marianne Cope Parish; which has a campus at the former St. Cecilia Church, Solvay, NY and Our Lady of Peace, Lakeland, NY, effective July 1, 2025.  This assignment is in addition to his current assignment.

Appointed Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Rome, New York, which will consist of the parishes of St. Peter Church, Rome, NY; St. John the Baptist Church, Rome, NY; St. Paul Church, Rome, NY; and St. Joseph’s Church, Lee Center, NY; effective July 1, 2025.

 St. Mary of the Assumption Shrine, Oswego, New York, in June 2025, The Institute of Christ the King the Sovereign Priest, will send a priest and brother to serve the pastoral needs of the Shrine.  The mission of the Institute of Christ the King the Sovereign Priest is to spread the reign of Jesus Christ to all aspects of human life.  This is done through the rich liturgical tradition of the Church, through the lives of the saints, and through the Church’s music, art, and architecture.
