Bishop Lucia Announces New Clergy Assignments

Rev. Brendan D. Foley has been appointed Associate Director of the Office of Vocation Promotion. Father Foley continues as Pastor of Our Lady of Pompei–St. Peter Parish, St. John the Baptist–Holy Trinity Parish, Syracuse, New York, and also maintains his responsibilities for the Spanish Apostolate at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Syracuse, New York. Effective January 11, 2026.

Rev. Jason C. Hage, previously the Director of the Office of Vocation Promotion, will now serve as the diocesan Delegate for the Vocational Synthesis Year, the newly established stage of priestly formation instituted by Pope Francis, while continuing as Pastor of Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Utica, New York. Effective January 11, 2026.

Rev. Dennis M. Walker has been appointed Director of the Office of Vocation Promotion and Chaplain for Scouting for the Diocese of Syracuse. Father Walker currently serves as Pastor of The Church of the Nativity at St. Joseph Church, Lafayette, New York; St. Patrick Church, Otisco, New York; Immaculate Conception Church, Pompey, New York; and St. Leo Church, Tully, New York. He will continue in these pastoral assignments while assuming this diocesan role. Effective January 11, 2026.

Rev. Peter F. Tassini, Jr. has been appointed Exorcist Associate at the St. Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal, Washington, DC. Fr. Tassini has been serving there in this capacity since 2023. Effective January 1, 2026.
