Bishop Lucia Announces Celebration of 140 Years for the Diocese of Syracuse

The Diocese of Syracuse celebrates its 139th anniversary of its foundation in 1886, which means we will begin our 140th year of service to the people of CNY. Bishop Lucia is taking this moment to celebrate where we have been as a diocese and to look toward where we are going, particularly as we prepare for the 150th anniversary year in 2036. Bishop Lucia has written a Letter to the Faithful inviting all of us to join in this twelve-month celebration by focusing on the Eucharist and gathering together to chart a course in synodality toward 2036.
